Hi there.

My 9 month Super Snow hasn't been eating for the past week or so. Tried to offer her something different but she hasn't accepted it. Also tried using reptivite as i heard its an apetite booster.

She's weighed 41g last time i weighed her when she was still eating, and she seems to be going from 40g to 41g all the time so i thought it was weired she wasn't losing any weight.

Any idea what might be going on ?

Sometimes they stop eating when they begin to ovulate, sometimes just because. I would check out some posts on what ovulation looks like and if you can see that I wouldn't worry. If she's not ovulating I would keep an eye on her weight and make sure she doesn't lose more than 10-20% of her body weight. If she does I'd find a good reptile vet and have her in for a visit.

I thought that might be the case, this mind aound stupid but it's just a random question. If she's ovulating is she ready to breed? Or will she be absorbing the eggs?

How long does ovulation usually last.

Mine tend to ovulate for a few months but some for only a few weeks. Many don't eat for most of that time. Once the ovulates reach about 1/2 inch in size then they're ready to breed. Usually they're reabsorbed if the female doesn't come into contact with a male they can mate with but sometimes they decide to make eggs out of them and lay anyhow. Of course if they haven't mated all eggs will be infertile.
