hey guys, i'm in need of a bit of help
last night my gecko started shedding, and i've had him since april so i've seen him already shed plenty of times
however i didn't notice until about an hour ago that his foot was all red, and honestly i'm really worried
when i bought him he was already missing a toe, [got him at a toronto expo, he seemed fine so it didnt really bug me]

another thing i should mention is, about 3/4 weeks ago while shedding, his foot appeared somewhat off [pink with little skin, he was shedding at the time so maybe it got wrapped around and stopped circulation?]
i'm not too sure if its the same foot saldy

so whats up? i've looked up a bit of information and all the answers ive got are different from eachother, so im not too sure what to do in this situaton

I'd double check the foot and ensure all the old skin is gone and is not constricting it.

If it's clean, continue watching the foot. If the redness or swelling gets worse, a vet trip may be in order. Otherwise, if the foot just tends to get reddish around shedding time, he may just have a "bad foot" due to damage done in previous sheds. My skink has a few toes that always get irritated at shed time, but the redness goes away after the shed is done.
