Geckos have recurring shed skin/goo stuck in eyes, BLIND

For about 2 months now off and on 2 of my 3 leos have had problems with a white buildup, kind of like shed skin but it happens regardless of them shedding, and I brought them to the vet and they gave me this tiny little bottle for $50 of some sort of solution, i was only to put a drop in each eye every other day, it went away for a while and came back ( I never stopped using the drops)

I brought them back to the vet and she said to keep using the solution and she doesn't know much else to do...

They are still affected to the point that every day I have to clear out their eyes so they can see, and by the end of the day again they are squinting or eyes completely closed.

As a result of this, one of the affected geckos is becoming very skinny and I'm guessing can't see the food which has lead me to hand feeding / watering.

I'm literally doing everything possible and the vet is out of options.

Anybody on this one?

I couldn't get a picture of the eye, but I found an imagine online that is very similar to what they have

Find another vet for a second opinion. Have they had fecals done? Do you give them multivitamins?

No fecals done, just haven't been going as much due to lack of eating, i cant imagine it to be a parasite because the 3rd gecko does have any health problems. I give them the typical calcium dish and vitamin drops for water supply.

It can be due to vitamin A deficiency. They must be given powdered multivitamins at least weekly. Vitamin drops for water is useless. You need the type you dust the feeders with ex: Herptivite

Most likely the problem is Vitamin A deficiency. Just to make you aware there is also a
eyeworm called Thelazia californiensis which is usually treated with Ivermectin( not very common though).

Run and buy those multivitamins and make sure you also have Plain calcium and Calcium with Vitamin D.

No loose substrate. Do they have a humidity hide?

they have reptile carpet and a humid hide.

And if they were deficient in some sort of vitamin, wouldn't the other gecko also be affected?

Ok, good. Not necessarily. Some are hardier than others. What eye drop was prescribed?

Buy the multivitamins asap. Continue the eyedrops. There is a possiblity that they will need Vitamin A in a form of eye drops which will need to be prescribed by a vet. Also infections can occur secondary to Vitamin A deficiency, so if it continues the chances are they need to be treated with antibiotics and it will be wise to get a fecal as well.
