Genetic education needed

I am new to the LG scene and I have been doing all the research I can on every subject there is. One brick wall I have been continually ramming my head in to is the topic of genetics. I have very limited knowledge on genetics and punnit squares and the vast and ever expanding variety of LGs is a little overwhelming.

What I am hoping to gain from this post is possibly finding a few sources that will help me understand this a bit more. I have looked at some of the stickies and followed links posted by other users that have genetic calculators. They are all helpfull to some degree, but unless you have a basic understanding of what you are looking at it is all Greek.

I would like to find something that will list traits and if they are dominant or recessive if such a thing exists. I don't understand the differences between dominant, codominant, recessive, and also where the percentages come from on hets. I do know what dominant and recessive are and the difference in homozygous and heterozygous. It is all that extra stuff that is thrown in the mix than confuses me.

Also if anyone could just hit me with a quick answer on my trio that would be great since I think it will take me some time to figure it out on my own.
1. M- extreme tangerine carrot tail (is this the same as SHTCT)
2. F- emerine tremper het red stripe - raptor (what was on the deli from HISS)
3. F- emerine tremper
What can I expect out of this group if I were to breed them?

I feel like all I've been doing lately is promoting this guy lately, but he is putting out some very good videos about breeding, care, and genetics. Google "sasobek" and watch his youtube vids.
