Genetics Question

I got a pair of giant leopard geckos that had been bred before I got them and none of the eggs made it. The morphs are tremper albino and bell albino and I read today that different types of albinos aren't compatible genetically so could that be why none of the eggs hatched? After reading that I'm pretty upset that my friend would sell me geckos that aren't even compatible.

Yeah, different albino strains can't successfully breed :\
They've probably been bred before, just not successfully.
Sucks that someone would do that just to get rid of their leos.
At least you can breed them to your other leo's :)

You can breed together different strains of albino, but none of the babies will be albino. Just het for both strains. It makes things very confusing, genetically. Plus, its kinda pointless.

Oh, I see, I saw on a website that they can't successfully breed, and didn't specify what they meant by that so I guessed that the babies wouldn't live. Thanks for clarifying :)

Oh yeah, I just love making Punnett squares!
I had to read what a punnett square is! I thought it was some sort of dessert or something you bake or eat! LOL
I just read that it is a way to determine an outcome of a cross or breeding experiment! I can be so silly sometimes! haha

I have another question.... I was told my female is Abyssinian bell albino but she bell albinos are supposed to have red pupils and she doesn't, is it because of the Abyssinian or is she just not bell albino?
