Hello, I recently bought a couple of geckos from pet co and later I found out that it's best to buy from a breeder, do I was able to return the geckos back to pet co. I had them in my medium/low exo-terra tank(24x18x18) for about a week, I am picking up a new SHTCTB(TSF), Friday, I already put her on hold, I am by boo man an expert on Leo's but I checked the geckos out that I had gotten from pet co and I didn't see any signs of disease or parasites and I am wondering if I need to clean and sanitize the tank before I put my New Leo in?

I'd clean and sanitize it because of germs and what not. Plus, all depending on how old they were, and if one was a male, the females could catch the scent and be freaked out and stressed

Steam cleaning is the best and has been shown to even kill crypto. The next best option is a 10% ammonia solution. After that I would go with chlorhexadine solution mixed till its sky blue in color. If you're using amonia let it sit for up to a day. Then rinse with soapy warm water and air out for another day before use. Chlorhexadine is relatively safe for reptiles and does not require time to air out, I air out tubs after use for about 3 minutes by putting them infront of a fan.

To answer your question, yes clean the cage very well!

EDIT : ** Be sure to wash your hands really well after handling anything that was in the cage/used with the cage.

Ok, one of them was for sure a male and they were less than 5 months old. What would you suggest cleaning the tank with? I use slate tiles with vita-and under, should I just use a bleach and water mix to clean? Also, should I replace the sand?

Bleach and water mixed at 10% bleach is good. I would replace the sand and not use it personally. Paper towels are cheap and easy to clean. For a more natural look there's repti carpet.

I will remove the sand. I still would like to use the slate tiles. I'm worried that the repticarpet won't conduct the the heat as good as the sand from the UTH.

It's fine to use sand under your slate. Your gecko can't get to it. I've had my leo on slate tiles with sand underneath for her whole life and she's just as fat, healthy and sassy as she can be. :D
