ive wanted geckos for years now and after proving to my parents that i can look after a snake i am now allowed geckos. i have the viv, thermostat, heatmat etc just geckos to go really i have found a breeder willing to sell me one 07 blizzard and one 07 lecuistic for £32 each which i thought was brilliant but the only problem is that because they are so young you cannot tell which sex they are. idealy i would like a male and a female for future breeding but i would be happy with two females the only thing i am worried about is getting 2 mals because they will fight as they get older what can i do????

I'd start with just one gecko, especially with it being your first. They really are solitary creatures and bullying is not uncommon.

agreed.. start slow and work you way up.. A lot of people jump into leos head first without realizing how much is involved in breeding and keeping them. It takes several generations to really get what you want as far as morphs. I'd go one at a time. Find out the sex over time and then get another that you know the sex prior and then move on from there..

I agree that you might be better just raising one leo for awhile before getting a second one and starting a breeding project, that way you will have some good experience. Breeding geckos can have a lot of challenges, and if you have raised one for awhile you will be much better prepared for them!

It's great you are trying to prove to your parents that you are responsible enough for a pet, and being here on GeckoForums.net will help you learn to be a great keeper!
