Getting him/her to eat from dish

So my leo won't eat the mealies from the dish, I have to just put them on the tank floor and s/he will chase them down but I would like to just keep them in a dish in the cage but then s/he acts like they aren't even there.

I've thought the dish might be to high for him/her since s/he is so small but I've tried using a shallower dish and all that happens is the mealies crawl right out. So im pretty much stumped as to what to do. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome. Atleast s/he finally ate today ;)

I've had a couple do that try wiggling the worms above the dish till you get there attention and drop them in the dish after a little while they will learn

I only feed 6, but thats because I can't afford anymore. Always feed as much as they will eat. In addition to wiggling the worms first, try using a see-through bowl, so they can see their food.

I'll have to pick up a see-through dish of some sort and try that out. I did offer more mealies but 5 or 6 is all s/he would take.
