so, the two geckos that i want to mate are both old enough, but should there be anything else that i need to ensure before i put them in together? i have never mated my geckos before

Make sure they're both at good weights, they're both healthy, and that the female is ovulating.

And good weights are at least 40+ grams. Though when I bred my female she was 60+ and I'm so glad she was because the weight drops between clutches was more than I think she could have handled at 40grams.

this is probably a stupid question, but how do i know if she is ovulating or not?

Look at her belly, if there is a pinkish spot in the center, then she's ovulating. Someone posted pics of this before, maybe you can search the forums to see the pic.

I'd also suggest boosting the females calcium intake pre-breeding, it takes alot of calcium to shell an egg
