Nice, looks like you got some custom cut tiles so they fit inside a 20 gallon long perfectly. They'll do you well, tiles can be kept very clean and there's zero impaction risk.

Make sure you get a UTH that cover 1/3 of your tank, and have at least a warm hide, moisthide, and cool hide, along with a water dish...then you're well on your way :)

I cut them in the garage with my saw.Im getting the UTH but should I put it under the tank or between bottom of tank and tile? Seems under tank would have alot for heat to penetrate the glass and tile..My African Sulcata tortoise has the same requirements..except he needs tons of humidity 1st 2 yrs.I built him a custom closed chamber enclosure..

Oh you cut them, very nice :main_thumbsup:

Tiles conduct heat very well, another good aspect of using tiles as substrate. The UTH should go on the bottom of the tank. If you get the proper size and wattage, it should have no problems heating the tiles to 90-95 degrees.

Depends on the brand, but if you go with zoo med reptitherm, go for the "medium". Their label should say it's for 30-40 gallon, but that's because their small is too small for a 20 gallon long.
