I was wondering what people do to get calicum and vitimans to stick to the mealworms. I've tried shaking them up in a bag, and mixing them up in a dish. While they do get a little coating, it doesn't seem to be much. I tried spraying them with a multi vit./electro. spray(by Fulkers). It makes the supplements stick it seems to make the worms very inactive. Does anyone have any tips? I do keep a dish a calicum in the cage at all times also.:main_huh:

Getting the supplements to really stick on the worms isn't the best idea. Like you've noticed, they pretty much suffocate from over dusting. We always lightly dust prior to feeding, a quick shake n bake. We always keep just a tiny bit in the food dishes along with Vionate. Using a cap of calcium is good too, but make sure they're not overdoing it. If you find any poops that look grey, that means they've been consuming too much calcium.

I agree with Ryan, you're just not going to get it to coat the mealies like it does the crix.

We also place a small bit in the dishes, keep a cap in the enclosure at all times, and shake and bake the worms just prior to feeding.

p.s. - Ryan - you'll hear from my attorney for the use of, "shake and bake method", it's on my care sheet and you used it without permission.. :)
