So I found this ad on craigslist from some lady who's giving babies away free.

Anyone keep any or have any experiences to share? I've always seen them at the zoo, but never thought about keeping any. as far as bugs go, I think they're pretty neat.

Think they're good gecko food? (they look awful tough) but the lady says they're very very prolific...

appreciate any info!

Just be ready for roaches that can climb anything. For your first roach species I'd advise an species that cannot climb glass. They are very prolific though, and babies do well as food.. but juvies to adults are too large usually. They are fun too because you can feed them almost anything.. it's fun for me to experiment with what they will and will not eat.

Yikes!

Yeah, I didn't know about the climbing glass thing. that might be disturbing. I do like how big they get though and have heard they tolerate handling pretty well. do you take yours out a lot?

Is there a better species for my "first roach" lol...(can't believe I'm even asking...)
