Im going away at the end of June for 2 weeks will have someone come and change his water but worried he won't get enough food. He doesn't realise he can actually help himself. His tail is pretty decent but I've only just got him eating loads again. He has two of these glass holders in his enclosure. I also feed him myself to as he is a lazy eater. Don't want him to be unhappy, any suggestions? X

If it were me, I would just put some worms in his bowls with a piece of carrot and not worry about it. Leopard geckos can go months without eating, and your guy's tail is nice and fat, so I doubt two weeks would even put a dent in him. Whenever I go out of town, I have someone refill water, mist the reptiles that need it, and I don't worry about food.

Your gecko looks quite chunky and could probably take two weeks without food with ease. I might have someone come and put 5 worms in his bowl in the middle of your trip if they're gonna be there anyway but even if they don't a short fast should do him some good :)

I agree with Drcarrottail you could have someone drop a few worms in a bowl for him. If he isn't taking them from the bowl well you could try to leave a few in the bowl for a day or so and see if he figures it out. Mine normally figure it out after a day or so. Just make sure the bowl has high enough sides they can't climb out that way you know they have been eaten not just escaped.

He's probably too fat to be motivated to eat. As recommended above have the person who will be changing his water add worms after a week. If he's hungry enough he will find them. But it should be just fine without food for two weeks.
