Hi everyone, haven't posted in a while, but I've been around. Leia stopped eating about 3 or 4 weeks ago. She's stopped eating before - usually I switch to a different feeder and she eats again.
However, this time it was different, she refused to eat. After about a week I noticed a bowel movement trailing off her usual bathroom spot - which was kind of weird. She still wouldn't eat! Days passed and I saw her trying to have a bowel movement, but nothing would come out. I figured she's probably constipated and got kind of worried.
I upped the temperature on the hot side thinking she may not have digested her food properly. I've given her warm baths (which she doesn't like!!), I bought mineral oil (which only comes in huge bottles btw) and nothing has worked!!
She's on tile, and I use paper towels when she's shedding so she couldn't have ingested anything. (I only use a moist hide when she's shedding). The only thing that could be stuck in there are superworms. I don't see her belly being big either, but then again I may not know what to look for.
So.... long story short, I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. It's probably going to be expensive and my husband is already mocking me for it, but I found a reptile vet close by and I'm hoping he can help.
