Good to Buy From?

Has anyone heard of Reptiles by Mack or bought animals from them?

I purchased a gecko from them at the NARBC show. Everything was fine and I had no problems with her. That was the only time I bought from them though.

Reptiles by mack is a local to me company.
i have heard VERY bad things from employees.. seem to just employee mostly high school kids.

You cant pick out the exact animal you want. say you want a mack snow.. you get one.. but you dont get to choose form all the mack snows tehy have. even if you are local.

prices are low generally.

i have heard some good things also..

i would give it a 50/50 chance of getting something good

I didn't realize they were a company with employees. You've made very good points. I wouldn't buy a gecko without being able to pick the one I want.

they are HUGE wholesaler.
i went to pick up a small order of frogs for someone.. and I planned on buying a bunch of geckos.. but they wont even let you in the back. you get your order from the receptionist.

The "Macks" (John and Amy) are the founders of the Mack Snow. They are long-time breeders of many different reptiles, and are very nice people. Keep in mind that they are considered a LARGE breeder, and may not be able to provide photos, animals, and support on and individual sale basis. Stick with a smaller scale breeder if you are looking for this.

Well I want to get a few nice geckos, not really expensive ones. I was just asking about the quality of their animals. Having the pick of the litter for an extra 300 isn't really feasible for me right now. I'd rather have the genetics of a healthy animal than an animal that's just really pretty.
