Thanks guys. It's not so much that I'm having trouble finding a vet, but I'm looking for anyone that has actually GONE to one, met them, and can recommend them because they've had a positive experience with them. The only one's I can find in my immediate area work for VCA, which I'm not a fan of.

Dr. Tom Greek is a popular herp vet in so cal, but he no longer works at Yorba Linda. I think he's starting or has started his own practice. A friend of his is Dr. Richard Heise, who works out of the Banfield at Petsmart in Rancho Cucamonga. I brought him a kingsnake that had a lump on it's side and wasn't eating. He diagnosed it as an abcess and surgically removed it the same day. The snake is doing great now. You can reach Dr. Heise at (909) 483-8099.

So why don't you like VCA? Doesn't it stand for Veterinary Corporation of America or something like that? I guess I can see why you wouldn't dig them. Dr. Johnson at VCA Central recently removed a grapefruit sized benign adenoma from the liver of my siberian husky, Melani. She's doing much better now, even though there are numerous smaller masses on her liver.
