im thinking my girl maybe needs to be cut down on what i feed her. She has always been pretty big around both the belly and the tail but recently she seems to be getting bigger even though i am not feeding her any more than i feed the others and they are both looking to be at good weights.

She is 89g as of today. Like i said her tail is nice and fat but so is her belly. She is more active now than when i got her too but instead of loosing weight she is puting it on. I have also checked to see if she is gravid - she is not, i dont think she can. I decided to try her and Clyde this year after i got my third leo who was already gravid and so i had to get all the stuff for her. Bonnie and Clyde were together a couple times and nothing has come of it. How common is it for leos to be unable to reproduce ?

Thanks.

89g is a solid weight. Some will grow more some less. But 89g sound like she is nice a healthy leo. Give em time Iam sure theyll start laying eggs.

Thanks. Im fine with her not laying any eggs just got side tracked as i often do, i was more thinking on the weight - she seems to carry quite alot of it on her belly so she is pretty wide.

Back in the olden days, we didn't get females to grow much larger than around 45 grams, and it was standard to breed them at 38-40 grams. Now that we know a LOT more about keeping them, and our geckos are much more robust than they were, a good-sized, healthy female should weigh a minimum of 60 grams. I have some girls in my collection that are over 100 grams!
