...I am so sorry that I have failed you. I hope you know that in your short little life, I really had a stupid squishy spot my my heart for you. You were turning out to be the most beautiful of my bebe enigmas...but you just wouldn't grow.

Tonight, I was so pround of you when you shed your skin all by yourself...but then you threw up. You've slipped down to 5 grams. You look at me with the most beautiful russet-streaked eyes.

And I know it's crossed that threshold.
It is time to put you down, you are suffering.

Ohhhhh Janece! I am heartbroken for your loss of little Stubby. I know it is easy to blame ourselves when one of our beloved creatures passes away, but the truth is that the vast majority of us do everything in our power to do to helpt these special ones thrive. Sometimes they just don't. Your brain may tell you that, but your heart tells you different. I think making the decision to euthanize one of our precious animals is so very hard... but it is the most unselfish and loving things we can do for them. ((HUGS))

I tried to be more stubborn than his refusal to eat.
I guess it just goes to show there really are things in this world more stubborn than me that I cannot change. :wry:

I knew this sort of thing happens. I was just hoping enough love would stop it.
