got a new pet for my birthday

I got a new steppe runner for my birthday For some reason I love the little guys... not sure why since I usually don't like animals I can't hold lol
My first one seemed really little when I got it (compared to the ones I saw at petsmart) but my new one is even smaller! We had a rough couple days at the start... I thought he was dying but now he seems to be doing great. He's so little, the 10 gallon he's in seems way HUGE lol I feel like he should be in a baby leo bin. View attachment 1703

Haha, I should send you mine. They're said to be docile, but mine is extremely scared of people. I've never even handled him, as he runs away when he sees you get close.

I've got the older one eating from my hand but I've never picked it up. The new one usually won't stay out of its hides if I'm in the room.
