Got my first gecko!! HELP!

So I just bought my first gecko today from a reptile store. Its a juvi not sure the months. The pictures aren't the best but its because my good pictures are on my camera haha. Well he hasnt ate today. So I have a question how often should I feed him? I have small mealworms, and when should I dust the worms? I have the all in one rep calcium. And he is very jumping and he acidently fell on the carpet from like 4 feet :'( and since then he has been in his cool hide and he was chilling and then fell asleep and he isnt active right now. One other question what is the best type of thermometer since I just have a heat mat? Besides a temp gun unless you guys know a good one for cheap. Please and thank you

As for sleeping in the cool-hide, that is ok. Mine has spent alot of time in his coolhide, but he is fine and goes to the warmside as needed. If the room is cool, he spends more time on the warmside... If you have the right FLOOR temps, they will take care of themselves.
