I went into PetCo after work to pick up some mealies and, of course, headed right for the leos. I looked in the cage and saw one baby with a fresh tail-nip. I know from experience that PetCo adopts leos with tail-nips, so I asked the cashier about it and she got their animal person to open the cage for me. When I moved the hide I saw that there were 3 babies with tail-nips. Naturally, I adopted all three. They are so pretty. The bigger tang. shed today and the smaller one is just about to shed. They all ate like little piggies last night. I told my brother I got 3 more and he decided that he wants one or maybe two(you know how addicting they are!) any way, here they are. Aren't they so pretty? even if they only have 1/2 ~ 2/3s of their little tails.

Awww poor little babies! I don't go in chain petstores anymore, I don't do anything but get pissed off! But I'm sure they are going to have a great home now. :)

I think that's very kind-hearted of you to adopt these baby leos. Most people just say pshaw when they see a leo with part of its tail missing. Just make sure that they don't get any infection as their tails grow back. They are all very cute too.

I have been looking at this leo at the petco by me and it is a patternless with a tail nip almost grown back. Do you know the criteria on adopting the ones with nipped tails.?

All I had to do was tell them their was one with a tail-nip and ask if I could adopt it. When I bought my first leo(she was from PetCo), there were a few patternless geckos with tail-nips that were mostly regrown and they told me if I wanted one I could adopt it. So just ask a manager.

Here's a pic of baby #2, freshly shed. Couldn't really see her colours or pattern in the other pics.

Congrats on your new geckos
I would get a fecal sample into the vet because of where they are from
Good Luck with them
I have several Leos that I bought as babies with dropped tails
I think that they have character
:D

They've all been to the vet already and everything was A-okay. Your right regrown tails definately have character. I have an AFTG who I think would look silly if she had a normal tail, I love her regenerated tail. I have one leo who I bought at wholesale from Pet Supply Plus (she was all beat up) who's regen. is a huge bulb. It's a unique look.
