Sat 4/7 purchased 23 gram female jungle from Reptile Addicts at Manchester, NH show. Waiting for her to eat.
Mon 4/16 She's still not eating. She shed today & did not eat the skin. Following advice to try Repta-aid to possibly stimulate hunger, but also to get a sample to have a fecal done.
Tues 4/17 we have poop! The call is in to the herp vet. He's only in town a couple of days a week. Waiting impatiently to get the test. I'm really happy to have seen her poop.

Marica, I think--now it wouldn't be the 1st time I've been wrong--that the only thing she's taken in besides water is the 1 dosage of Repta-aid I gave her yesterday. I'm going to empty her mealie dish & only put a few in there to keep a closer eye on it.

Everything is geckoforums approved. It's the set up Hidey had been in prior to moving to the 20g: exoterra cage, UTH ranging from low 70s to 91, paper towels etc. She still seems very healthy except the not eating live food part.

It was a good idea to get the fecal test done.

Also, it can take a while for a Gecko to start eating when switching homes, she probably just needs to get used to and feel comfortable in her new home. Then she will probably start eating again.

Let us know what the fecal test shows when you get the results!

Thurs 4/19 1 mealie is missing from the dish & there's a nice, healthy poop in the cage for me to take to the vet. He'll probably call today. I'm pretty sure he only works tu & sat. Doing a happy dance here! It's probably going to be weeks before I can get a pic--til Canon fixes my camera or causes a heart attack with the price to fix it.

SHE ATE! SHE ATE! 3 wax worms & 2 mealies. She had quite a time getting the mealies though. Good thing she's on paper towels or it would've been a very serious case for impaction.

I'll mention her lack of skill in grasping the mealies to the vet tomorrow (she goes at 10:30 on Saturday which is I'm sure why she ate!). I've had 3 good poops in a row too. Tonight was the first time she has eaten anything other than 3 days of Repta-aid. Thanks for that suggestion Kathy & Scott.

Major stress is over now. I'll let you know what the vet says.

She's got a clean bill of health from Dr. Mertz "The Odd Pet Vet". Fecal came out negative (that's a good thing) & he said her calcium levels were good. She's mighty ticked off about going to the vet though. Hopefully her skills in landing a mealie will improve. I'll be keeping my eye on that. Camera's still in the shop, so you'll just have to take my word for it that she's super sweet :)

i'm sooo happy for you!
probably she was really stessed..some geckos need more than 1 week to start to eat anything ;)
do another fecal exam in a month..some worms and others problems give a false negative..
good news!!
