I had gotten used to the idea that my male RAPTOR just wasn't interested in reproducing because he had never made any passes at my females. Suddenly a couple weeks ago I saw him mount my sunglow female. She didn't really reject him, but she didn't really stand too still for him either. His tail was under hers, but I'm not sure he was able to finish the deed before she scurried away from him. I can't keep them together any more because she keeps rejecting his advances a bit violently.
Admittedly, my lady is a little plump and I never really committed to checking for ovulations because the male didn't seem interested in her anyway. So I'm not sure if she was ovulating and I'm extra not sure if she's gravid. It almost looks like a forming egg to me on the left side, but could easily be a fat deposit too... What do experienced eyes think?
(she'll be 3 years in September and 65 grams and the male is a year and a half and 85 grams)
