I saw a post on here, someone had created these. I got bored and was off work so I got the glue gun out and got creative!

I got all the supplies at the dollar tree today, and total of $7.49 I made 5 hides, very awesome idea!

I got some little plastic bowls at dollar tree, you can get the square ones 3 for a $1 or round ones which are a little larger 2 for a $1, I got 1 of each.

Get some fake leaves, plants there as well I bought 3 vines of fake ones, and just glue them on as you go covering all the spaces, also since I cut sorta sharp edges I used the leaves around where I cut to prevent the leo's from getting any cuts.

Get a hot glue gun and glue sticks which also sold at dollar tree btw.

I'm sure you can get this stuff at wal-mart, k-mart whatever is local for ya.

I will never buy a hide anywhere again, I just paid 9$ for a rock one last week for my biggest girl!

thats what i use But the nearset pet shop is 1 hr away from me (unless you include the real real mall one)

Well the best pet store is also about an hour away from me as well, and they don't carry alot of reptile stuff. We have a pet smart but they are to expensive and I don't think they take care of their reptiles good enough.

Is there anywhere I can buy those online I do like them.

Suggestion for the sharp edges -- take a lighter and very carefully melt just the very edges of the opening. It's quick, easy, and then you have absolutely no worries about cuts or abrasions.

That's another great idea! Thanks I've learned so much here already. :D

I use www.herpsupplies.com I've found them to have some of the best prices. You just have to look and compare. But, I get water dishes and coconut hides for my breeders for $2 each, not to mention they sell kritter keepers SUPER cheap (more important to me b/c I breed cresties). They have a TON of stuff. I've never had a problem with them, and love their service. They also accept paypal (the normal payment options too), which I find attractive. Check them out ;)

-Andrea :p

BTW, your hides turned out really cute!!

Mandi, those are some really cool looking hides! Maybe you should start making them and selling them!

Ya know I thought about that, but my boyfriend said that somebody could just take the idea. I mean I got the idea here from a post someone made. Plus I would rather just tell someone how to make their own, it's so simple, and cheap anyone could do it and really fun. ( well cured my boredom for a day ).

blackjungle.com has some Tiki Huts as well as the coconut and others. They are a little more expensive than herpsupplies but the Tiki Huts look kind of cool for under $4.
