"great stuff" expanding foam

I am going to create a rock wall type place with tunnels and ledges using great stuff expanding foam. I have a couple of question to anybody that has used it.

I want to make it outside of the tank and place it in when it is completed. Would the best method of doing this be to take a piece of cardboard and just spray it with the foam? The bottom would need to be flat so I could create an L shaped cardboard shape and fill it with the foam. What is the best way to keep the foam from sticking to the cardboard? Or would it even stick to it? If you have any other ideas let me know,thanks.

if you are wanting to have perfectly level floors and wall, then i would use a cardboard box. Line the box with wax paper then let it dry completely. Once its dried, the foam will peel right off the wax paper..

Thanks, I saw your thread with the wall you made from it. How much of the can did it take you to do that? Just trying to get an idea of how many cans I would need ( assuming I only need one)
