Matt and I saw these in the new issue of Reptiles! They are so awesome! Especially the black one. Does anyone know of any good sites/books/caresheets/dealers to get information from? I don't think we will be getting one anytime soon, but just incase we get a wild hair up our butts at Daytona, we will be ready with the info on them..

I have heard they are a look but don't touch kindof pet....what type of experience have you had with them?

Thanks!

You can hold em, some are evenly tempered and some you just dont wanna touch lol...

Definitely get "the more complete chondro" by Greg Maxwell I believe is the most informative.

I've only been keeping them for about 7 months but WOW! They are so so so cool, I love them.

Some good sites/breeders to buy from are finegtps.com ( The breeder whos animals are in the issue you speak of ).Chondrosbycathy.com ( A very nice and knowledgable woman) Sprucenubblefarm.com, signalherp.com bushmaster
reptile etc...

All I know is those famous ones that are depicted in the magazine are beyond amazing !

Good luck :)

Thanks! OMG! Aren't they amazing?! We were drooling over them! The black one is by far the most Bad-A looking snake! It looks like it means business! lol.

We will probably get one when we move in together. Right now, we are both living in seperate houses with our parents...neither of which I'm sure would be happy with a GTP in the house. :(

the most active forum on chondros is www.chondro.net. Great group of people over there for the most part.

My girlfriend with my female Aru (from Garrick DeMeyer) and my female Merauke. Female aru has been breeding the last week to week and a half with my male wamena from Freek Nuyt (www.fnreptiles.com)

As for the designers, wish I had $2K to $5K+ to blow on a hatchling chondro that could turn green and look nothing like what was in the article. The genetics on them is about as good as guessing the mystery meat served at public school cafeterias. The only thing certain is the albino (albinochondro.com).

These are the most awesome animals. Here's some of my GTPs. First a gorgeous calico/melanistic from Greg Maxwells '06 Merauke Outcross X Pepper clutch (she's a sister to that gorgeous black and turquoise female in the article, Ella Diablo). Next a Biak Island from Bushmaster. And finally a Sarong type type also from Bushmaster.

So I take it she's a 'hormonal' blue? I've seen another 'hormonal' blue female that somebody got from Garrick... Considering he's only a 4-5 hour drive from me I may have to get my first from him... :main_cool3:

Very nice females btw! ;)

Mike-I also have an Aru-type from Garrick. He's a great guy to deal with and the animal is beautiful.

I'll definitely be breeding mine next season.

I have never been a big snake person, but I would DIE for a blue or calico GTP!!! Everytime I go to Daytona, I love to go into the ChondroCoalition's room and drool over the gorgeous snakes. I must have expensive tastes, because all the ones I like are literally $$$Thousands. I would settle for an exceptional tri-color, though...
