Greenish poop?

One of our girls, Athena, has been having some issues eatting as of late. She will go for quite some time without eatting anything, then suddenly eat a few mealies, then go right back to not eatting again.

Last night we noticed that her tail is shrinking, her hips are becoming slightly more noticable, and that her poop was greenish and watery.

Just trying to figure out what the cause could be from.

We also keep a once a month record of their weights, and when we first got her she was at 33 grams... at most was at 36 (possibly more, but this was after tail loss) and is back down to 33 grams again.

Given all the problems we've had before, we don't really need it again.

She is also in a 20 gallon tank with a uth, the tank is split and her "sister" is next door. She seems fairly normal other than being one of those who only eats when hungry.

You have a hatchling that is not eating correct? Are your temps at 90-95 deg ??

She's an adult, and her temps are up to 90-95. She's always been a bit of a picky eatter but this is the first we've seen this and noticed her pelvis sticking out a bit.

That yo-yo-ing on weight can be a sign of parasites. Cleo kept going up and down in weight but never gaining just periods of up and down. We found out she was full of hooks. I would get a fecal tested and make sure the tanks are completely sealed off from one another and start practicing quarantine with the sick one. Green watery poop can be a sign of the C word, I just don't want to assume that just yet.

Ugh...I really hope it isn't the C word either. Dealt with that with 4 others this time last year and none survived. :( Really don't want to go through that again.

I hope not too! I think that getting tested would be good because bacterial infections can have similar symptoms as parasitic infections, or maybe she just had a bad worm who knows! Never hurts to check though :)

Luckily I have some Nature Zone Worm Guard here that supposed takes care of worms & parasites. Will give it to her as directed and see how it goes. If nothing changes I guess the vet will be seeing us once again.

Really hoping it's nothing to be alarmed about since the last bout of crypto was 6 months ago. No tanks, bowls, hides have been reused. We didn't even own her or her sister while the last infected one was still alive.

I really, really, REALLY hope she's just being picky.

Maybe try a different feeder? Good luck with her, I hope it's something minor too :)

We generally use mealies and crickets, I might have to break down and try roaches. Hubby's a little apprehensive about having them in the house, and considering the amount of crickets we've found roaming free as of late, I don't blame him. lol.

Still no changes, I called and made her a vet appointment for Mon. Better thaw out the slurry and hope for a sample. *sigh* this is going to kill me until I find out what is going on.
