Hi all! I'm Syd, from Virginia, and right now I have just one leopard gecko called Lychee.

I don't really plan on getting any other reptile, but I have had a turtle and some anoles in the past. Right now my biggest animal passion is actually chickens, lol.

Welcome! Chickens and leopard geckos are a good pairing. They both like mealworms!

Do you breed certain types of chickens or just enjoy keeping them?

Thanks you guys! Chicken rearing is so fun and rewarding! I'm not breeding right now, but in the spring I breed certain show birds known as old english game chickens. They're like miniature chickens! I got really into them after begging my mom to get me two chickens from the state fair. We already had an old coop, so why not? Chickens are the gateway drugs of the farming life. I've since had ducks and even partridges, lol.

They both adore mealworms! I just started raising my own!

Maybe I'll make a post at some point. In the meantime, here's on old picture of a clutch of partridges I hatched last year. The incubating/hatching process is very similar to reptiles. You can even use the same type of incubator. :main_yes:
