Hey there!

I'm glad to have found a group of such well-established and helpful people. I can't even count how many times I've browsed this forum while conducting my research and simply quenching my curiosity before finally adopting a leopard gecko of my own. It's been a few days since I've brought him (or her. I don't know the gender yet) home and already he seems to be warming up to me.

Anyhoo, I'm sure I'll be throwing plenty (dumb) questions out there, so I'm sure I'll see you bunch around.

Welcome to the gecko forums and congrats on the new leo!! He's cute and we're glad to have you here!! What kind of substrate are you using?

Peat moss, I believe it's called. It's a special type specificaly for reptiles (geckos, frogs, and other reptiles. It has a list of reptiles it's good for on the bag). It's like small, soft patches of dirt with little twigs here and there.
