"Grow your own wheat grass kit"

I bought a "Grow your own wheat grass kit" from the supermarket today! Just wondering if the fresh wheat grass is ok to feed to the roaches or crickets?

I would think they would love it.
It would be a good nutritious gut load.

The package has a few hundred wheat grain to start with, it says I should be able to see shoots in 2-3 days; and grass can be cut in 7-8 days. I think I failed, up until now, I only have about 10-12 shoots (long)...I can't believe I can't even grow grass...:main_no:
