"gunk" in eye and swelling

I was looking at my Tiffany and noticed that one eye had something building up in the corner (tear duct area) and thought it might go away soon. Its been a couple days and after comparing to the other eye, the flesh next to that corner is kind of swollen looking (raised bump) where as the other side has no sign of that sort of thing. I have pics.

I use paper towel substrate, and moss is used in her humid hide normally except for the past week which has been paper towels because I can't find where I put the extra moss (people tend to move things in my house).

She's never had a problem shedding except on her toes and when she shed last it didn't look like she had a problem (I actually have pics of her shedding last time) around her eyes but I guess it could be stuck shed.

Ideas?

looks like it could be some stuck shed try this take a cotten ball and dip it in warm water and rub gently over her eye a few time and it should come off if it is stuck shed.Good Luck and I hope everything works out.

Hmmm... After doing that, the stuff in her eye got washed out, but you can see how what looks like stuck shed on the inner part of her bottom eye lid... Made several attempts at swabbing it out, but she understandably closes her eye and sucks it in. I'll leave her alone for now cause she's freaked out a bit and try again :(

you should try again in about 20 min as if you wait to long she could go blind in that eye from it,Good Luck and I hope you can get it off.

I'm having similar issues and my vet told me that sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between what is "gunk" and what is the little lid that slips over their eyes when they close them. Make sure you know the difference before you try to dig it out. I doubt that's what it is, since it sounds like "gunk," but just be careful. I have some geckos with blasted eye infections as well, but I have meds for them, which seems to help.

Try sticking her in a bowl of shallow warm water with a lid on it..I had to do it with a rescued Fat Tail that had stuck shed everywhere. It's like a mini sauna...

What side is your moist hide on? If she's had trouble in the past, you may need to change something.

I bought a baby with incubator messed eyes or something lol her eyes dont look exactly like my other leos and they have that lil bit of guck in the corner of one of the eyes... Shes had it since I got her. It hasn't gotten worse, and theres no swelling.. Could it be the same probleM?

Updating...

The stuff had spread further over her eye and I couldn't clean it out.. After attempting to clean it, it hardened and she couldn't open her eye much and surely couldn't see out of it. After she shed, her eye was capable of opening like normal and all the stuff was gone except in the corner again like in the original pictures (I guess the shedding process pulled it out) and she has a tiny bit more swelling since the pictures.

I'm thinking her eye is infected considering the swelling and the pus. I'm going to be going to the vet with another animal soon and will show pictures and ask for an antibiotic if they agree with me (they are an exotic animal vet also-they do the work for the zoo here-so they hopefully are good with reptiles).

PS: her humid hide is on the cool side which is around 80 degrees. She had no problems shedding this time thankfully

One day I was trying to wash her eye with a q-tip and warm water, which wasn't working at all, and saw where she had a small round ball of "gunk" (as mentioned) in the corner of the eye. I was able to use a pair of rounded-tip tweezers to very carefully pull it out and ever since her eye has been fine. It has cleared up and gone back to normal.

I just wanted to update!
