Gutloading

My friend is dating a guy that has a leo, a snake, and some other reptile (not sure what lol)

Anyway, he has had his leo for 3 or 4 years and doesn't gutload it's food (crix and mealies). He said he has never had a problem with its health

So, my question is if it's necessary to gutload the leos food?

I think I confused you lol

I do gutload my mealies. I was just giving an example to ask if it is necessary in general :)

The point to gutloading is that insects themselves may not have enough nutrients. I mean, even wild leos get gutloaded insects. You wouldn't want to eat starving animals (assuming you eat meat). There wouldn't be much to eat.
