Handling my Gecko

When i try to handle my gecko it freaks out i have been itroducing my self to it for over 3 months now what do i do?

As they age, they usually calm down if you continue to introduce yourself to the geckos. Also try scooping your geckos up once in a while holding it on the bed or close to the floor.

I agree, you need to actually get them into your hands and hold them for awhile for your leos to get used to you. Hatchlings get scared easier, but they are also easier to get them used to handling if done at a young age.

Just always make sure you scoop from underneath, or gently nudge the gecko to crawl onto your hand. Never grab from above, and never make any quick movements. Be prepared for the gecko to do a lot of moving around, they even walk right off of your hand (which is why it's a good idea to hold them on the bed or close to the floor, as Carin said :))

They don't like me.

now what do i do?
More and more of the same.....and more often..... "Make sure you wash all smells off your hands first. Some may not like the smell of "Coors Light"...etc.

I totally agree. I'm having the same issue with my tegu, but with a big differance... He bites, LOL. He's getting better... I think *crosses what's left of fingers*
