Seeing as we've had many health issues since Obi and Dante came home, the fact that two others are now mysteriously sick after I put them in a seperated 29 gallon due to my ignorance, nothing is really working. If whatever they had going on was parasites, Panacur should've taken care of it. Loki, Odin, and Dante still do not eat on a regular basis... wasting away, lethargic...you name it. I'm really beginning to think this is what has been going on after googling the symptoms. Vet didn't mention this as a possibility, but who would think the worst right off the bat?

Panacur only takes care of a particular type of parasite. There are other parasites which require different medications. You really should have a fecal test performed by a veterinarian to see what is going on so the appropriate treatment can be started before it's too late. BTW, most reptilian diseases and infections have the same symptoms.

Yeah, I did have fecals done on Loki, Dante, and Obi. Loki was the only one that tested negative, but the vet suggested giving her the meds anyway since she was on the other side of the seperation.

Think I'm going to call the vet tomorrow and schedule another apointment for Loki, Odin, and Dante when we get back from Chicago on Mon.

I had read your article about it, and will probably print it out for the vet need be.

Another thing... bacterial infections do not show up on routine fecal tests. Can you tell us what the vet found on the fecals that tested positive? For what?

I've searched thru the paperwork and nothing was listed. All's I know is whatever type it was started with an "R". He just gave me the scientific term.

I'm planning on calling them tomorrow to try and set up an appointment for Monday, when I do I'll ask them specifically what they tested positive for. I know it's in their file, but unfortunetally it wasn't listed on the paperwork that I was given for the visits.

Bah.

Called and made their appoinments, but for some reason they didn't have listed what specific type of parasites were found. Guess I'll just have to wait and talk to the Dr. Mon.

Hate being worried over this kind of stuff all the time.
