I have no idea what's wrong...she hasn't eaten in three weeks.

We took her to a vet that specializes in exotics. The vet did a fecal and couldn't find any parasites or anything wrong at all

Her temps are normal, she hasn't been stressed or messed with too much

She seems listless and groggy all the time. I took her out and she just sat on my hand with her eyes half closed

I have no idea whats wrong :(

Honestly, if your not noticing and weight or physical changes, he may be eating but you may not know. As long as there is nothing going wrong.... you should be fine.

That would be impossible seeing as I don't leave mealies in his tank at all times

Are you on a well. I had problems similar when using well water that I am just getting over. We made a new laundry room in the basement and I started using the well water for my reptiles. I had a few Geckos that became really skinny and 1 died until I realized what happened. Changed back to distilled water and all is returning to normal.

Vet checks were fine, whatever was in the water was affecting some of the geckos, not all of them. My beardies were fine, gained weight all the time.

I might suggest leaving the mealies in at all times. Maybe he doesn't want to eat the times you leave them in there.

I did have mealies in there at all times for the first couple of months I had him. He NEVER ate them; they would escape constantly. I got sick of rounding them up, so stopped that

It's not that he doesn't want to eat at the times I try to feed him. He was eating perfectly fine every three days during the evening...until he just stopped eating three weeks ago

There is something else wrong. Trust me, I can tell

Three weeks ago was the temperature and humidty different from what it is now? How big is your tank?

No. I make sure the temps are always constant

It's a 20 gal long

I know that there was nothing done wrong on my part. That's why it's so weird that he just won't eat

I'm not trying to be mean, but I'll never share what little knowledge I have with you ever again. After re-reading through this post and many of yours like it... why do you even post here? In every question you ask your're either A: never in the wrong on your part or B: make everyone else's input look as if it's juvenile. Do yourself a favor, step back and look in the mirror. You're not a pro. /endrant

Ok

You asked a question, I answered. Sorry my temps and humidity don't flucuate.

I've done everything people have mentioned and nothing has worked. That's why I asked what could possibly be wrong

Yes, in the first few weeks I made some mistakes. I learned from them and now know how to properly care for my leo. Sorry if you find that offensive for whatever reason

I don't see how my previous posts or why I post here is any of your business to be honest

That was a bit out of order was it not?

All Lyndsey is saying is that she has tried everything you are suggesting so why hit her with a juvenile comment like that...

I also have a male going through the exact same thing, he hasnt eaten for nearly 5 weeks now also..

Actually if you read any of her posts they are pretty much all out of order. Do yourself a favor and look at her posts before defending her. I simply stated I am no longer willing to offer help to her at all anymore. How is that out of order?

Your issue: 5 weeks? Go to a VET. Get a FECAL. Just stating that if your animal has not eaten in weeks be it 3 or 5 is not enough information at all. If you care for your animal and cannot afford the vet and have the audacity to enter a forum and ask a question without giving the slightest bit of information besides "it's sick" you're going to get stuck with the boring questions asked back to you, ie: "Is it on sand?, does it get belly heat? size of your tank?"

No one here is mind reader. When someone offers you help with even something that may sound as simple as "leave mealies in at all times because he may not be eating when you decide it's time for him to eat" it would be polite to say "Thank you, I may want to try that considering a leo is not a robot and eating at 8:37PM every TUES, THURS, SUN may actually not be enticing to him." Boot camp regiments aren't always for all living things.

For future reference if you have an issue or need help it would be wise to include any and all information you can about the animal. I don't live with you and can't hold your hand and see with my own two eyes.

Seriously...what is your deal with my previous posts? :main_rolleyes:

Already took him to the vet for a fecal (as stated in my original post). Came out clean. Who said I can't afford one? I have plenty of money, thanks

Yea, you're right...I didn't put all the info down that I needed to. Sorry, I had about 3 seconds to post that before I had to go get my son. I try to get on here to answer questions and give more info, but my 16 month old is more important. I answered everyones questions without being rude.

Don't tell me how to reply to someone, thanks :main_thumbsup:

For someone who claims to have read all my posts...you sure missed alot. I DID have mealies in his tank at all times for a month or so. He never touched them. And yes, he actually was on an eating schedule. Every three days around 7 pm. Then one day almost a month ago he decided to not eat. I have tried everyday multiple times morning, noon, night to feed him. Doesn't want it

Here I made a list:

Not on sand. He is on reptile carpet
Has a zoo med UTH on at all times on one half of tank
Tank is a 20 gal long
Temps have not changed. 74 on the cool side and 91 on the warm side
Has a hide on each side
Hasn't been stressed
Only leo in the house
Have tried everyday multiple times to feed him
Do not use well water. He has fresh water everyday
Had a fecal done. Came out normal
Has not lost weight. Tail is still fat

I may have missed something, but that's all I can think of now

Sorry if this is rude, but you jumped on me for no reason. Oh wait...it was because of my previous posts :main_rolleyes:
