Hatchling color vs adult color

I was at a place where they were selling baby leopard geckos. I do not know much about their colors or morphs or whatever. One of the geckos was very dark in color; black and grayish I think. The tag said Leucistic, but I thought that just meant patternless or colorless? Can anyone tell me what it might look like when it gets older?
