Hi,

I have problem with one of my this yerar hatchlings. She is 3 weeks old and still don't want to eat. There is no problem with her sibling from the same clutch. She also have problem with her legs (her legs are deformed and all looks like she has a MBD from beginning of her life. She is very small and skinny. I am afraid that she will die if she doesn't eat anything. Any advices?

I know, but I don't want to sell it, I just gonna fight for it life. She or he will stay with me, and I will try to maintain this gecko life. I understand that it is natural and that in wild there is no place for weak one's, but this one was born in my "collection". I will try, I have nothing to lost.

Have you tried to open the pray item open and touch the guts to the babies mouth. Sometimes this is all that is needed to stimulate a feed response. Good luck

Ditto...I have a baby that hatched out perfectly healthy but she was slow to start eating. I cut open a meal worm so that some of the guts came out and held it in front of the baby and she ate it. After a few days of doing that she started eating on her own, and is doing very well now.

It sounds like your baby has some issues though. When they are deformed on the outside, they often times also have internal deformities. She may not be able to eat/process food normally.

I understand that you'd want her to survive, but please also consider her quality of life. No offense meant, but if she can't walk normally and hasn't been eating I would assume that she's probably suffering.
