well a few weeks ago i posted a couple pics in the hatchlings section of what i thought was an odd looking hatchling.it is now 15 grams and has changed a little. so i thought i would post an updated picture to see what you guys think it is. i hatched this one from a group of hypo tang. 66% het tremper. The fist pic is a fresh hatchling. the second pic is aprox. 10 grams and the third pic is most recent at 15 grams. Thanks Kirk

Are the bands on the tail black?

It kind of looks Albino, but the tail bands look like they may be black which would mean not an albino

Is this was the one you were telling me about at White Plains?
Very cool snake eyes! If it wasn't albino, you would expect to see black dots on the tail by the time it is 15 grams as well as black or dark spots within the fading bands. I don't see any, so I will say it is a Snake Eyed Tremper. Of course, I am sure you will prove it out anyway.

Jeanne, they sure do look black to me. I had a het Tremper last year that looked a lot like this in color, and the dark banding on the tail took some time to turn into black spots.

yes frank this is the gecko we had mentioned at white plains.
the tail area has the light grey bands but the body markings are a washed out light purple not black at all. the left eye is a snake eye and the right eye is normal. so what do you guys think it is???? Thanks Kirk

I just took another group of pics and the gecko wold not stay still at all and of course its just about to shed. maybe this can help

ok

well the first time i posted this gecko the opinoin of the board was that it was a really nice hypo.
as far as the albino theory. what about the eyes? if snake eyes is an albino trait
i just hatched a very simalar hatchling from the same group without snake eyes. the clutch mate is "normal" looking with snake eyes pictured below ( please pardon the poops )
im really confused about what ive hatched LOL Thanks for all the input, Kirk

Tremper's incubated at lower temps are often dark colored. Same goes for the eyes. I feel very comfortable saying that it's an albino. Your second to last pic looks 100% albino to me.

Snake Eyes in not an albino trait, Snake Eyes are found in all different morphs now, especially Blizzards, and even some Stripes.

Can you get a picture of this baby next to a Tremper Albino showing their eyes? Tremper Albinos have grey ish-silver eyes with red veins. This gecko had Black eyes, so that makes me believe it isn't an Albino. But on the other hand, the body color does look like it could be albino. Maybe you have some kind of paradox albino or something

I say no to albino...but at the same time, I can't say it's normal either! The eyes look chocolate colored - not your average eye color. It's also curious that there is no black. Considering the TONS of morphs in BPs that are not albino, but have a similar lack of black, I can't see why it wouldn't be possible to have something like that pop up in leos.

I smell a test breeding in the wind! Keep it, breed it to a known Tremper albino, and see what you get. If you get all albinos, then I'd say it's just a cool looking Tremper that has us all fooled. If you get some normals...then you might have something special on your hands.

The dad is albino? Sorry, being lazy here...

If he is, then I think you could prove her to be Tremper albino if all hatchlings are albino. To prove she's something other than Tremper, I think you need to breed one of her male offspring (het for whatever she is in theory) back to her and see what pops up.

Those eyes are something else!
