I like to take the babies out as soon as possible and I put them in my hatchling rack which is 6qt tubs with a moist hide, small shallow water dish and a small dish with osteo form calcium and I add a little bit of vionate to it and I use kraft roll as the substrate.I do this so that the babies can adjust to there new surroundings and I always have great results with this method,I never had a baby die or anything bad happen to the baby.
I place the neonates in a 8oz deli cup and place them back in the incubator for 24 hours after they hatch. My reasoning is that I think that this helps them become adjusted after just hatching without any environmental change and added stress factors.
