Hatchling Questions!!

So I've had my hatchling for two days now, he's over a week old now, and he hasn't eaten for me yet.
I keep a bowl of meal worms (about 5) in his tank but all he seems to do is sleep. I try to put meal worms in front of him but he's either afraid of them or he just walks away. He tried to bite one twice but he missed then after two attempts he just left it alone.
Help please!
Also when he does walk it seems very slow and robotic almost, is this normal?

Nothing is normal about this situation. I posted in your other thread. If the baby doesn't eat within a week it will possibly die, since the "breeder" let it go after one feeding one cricket. Try pinhead crickets in a couple days if it doesn't eat a worm.

Please post a photo of your setup.

Here's my set up; two hides, water dish, mealie dish and calcium dish. He's in a 5.5 gallon right no because he's so small. I have a heat lamp and uth.

Can you please give me some tips as to keep this little guy healthy?

well what are your temps? it's probably really hot with two heat sources and such a tiny tank. also try a smaller more shallow dish like a jar lid, I don't think the baby knows there is food in the dish.

I need to get a thermometer, I'm getting one Thursday. Should I turn the lamp or uth off?
I have a smaller dish but the mealies get out.
Also I found some feces in his cold hide if that means anything?

He just ate a meal worm!
I have some in a lid of an old jam bottle. I'm hoping he gets the idea that there's food in there.
I'll keep you updated.

cut the mealies open so some guts are out and then with tongs hold the guts up to the leo's lips...just touching so the baby can lick...keep the leo licking eventually he will figure it out and gobble.

So sad that a breeder would sell such a small baby...good luck! Also do not leave the mealworms in the bowl more then 24hours..they lose nutritional value due to not have gutload...so what I do is leave some in the bowl over night...anything that isn't eaten by morning goes back into the mealworm bedding and rotated with newer worms.

Here's just an update on DC:
He is now eating regularly, I bought some wax worms for a treat every other week to try to get some weight on the little guy.
He's petrified of me right now though, whenever he sees me coming he goes back into his hide.
But I have another question; would a 15 gallon be too big for him right now? I have one set up ready to do. I just need to get a tile trimmed at the hardware store.
