Having problems...

Didn't have these problems last year...but this year is :main_thumbsdown: with the leo eggs.

All the clutches I've had, I've had to throw out because of mold. I don't know what's wrong! I'm thinking my females aren't getting enough calcium, but it's weird because they all have a calcium dish, and their insects are gut loaded and dusted with calcium. I've got to figure something out. Any ideas? I'll probably try to find some liquid calcium for everyone, and soon enough I'll have all my geckos in seperate enclosures, instead of keeping them in groups, so I can watch who's eating what.

I don't think it's calcium. Mold would be due to the incubation method you're using, or the fact that you're incubating infertile eggs. So, a few questions to get you thinking of what may be wrong:

1.) How are you mixing your incubation materials?
2.) Are you weighing substrate and water seperately, or are you first weighing the substrate and then adding on the weight of the water?
3.) Are you certain that the eggs you're incubating are fertile?

I'm having trouble with mold this year, too, and I've done nothing differently. I just figured the eggs were not going to be good no matter what I did. Good luck and I hope you figure it out.

Think I've finally got this fixed! My temps were too cool, and the humidity too high. Raised the temps up, and I have a paper towel laid over the eggs to keep water from getting on them. Look nice and pink :D
