He had skin stuck to his forehead

Herman shed yesterday. When I got home from work yesterday, I noticed he had skin still stuck on his face, from his forehead down between his eyes. Some was irritating his eye. I moistened his hide some more and let him be overnight. Again this morning it was still there and he was keeping that eye shut a lot. I went to work and crossed my fingers

Tonight when I got home it was still there, sort of coming off a little more, but a good chunk was still on there above his eyes, and down his nose. He looked upset and tired.

We got it off with a tweezers. I didn't want to do it, but I gave him enough time to do it himself.

How long before you should worry about skin that won't come off. Should I try vaseline next time?

i know i might get complained at about this but my little girl just shed and she has some on the tip of her nose (not blocking nostrils) that didnt come off, i have tried q-tips, finger nail, tweezers, warm water, cold, water, it just wont come off, and she doesnt seem to mind it, so i am leaving it there until i notice problems.

I would think as long as the shed comes off within a day or two it shouldnt have any problems, i nice moist hide is my key to complete sheds

Mine never has problems except for his forehead. I don't get it.
