I have a female leopard gecko that I would be very interested in breeding but im worried about her size. She seems to be of smaller size and max out at 35-37 grams and is 7 inches long and I really dont know if I should breed her or not? I would really like a breeders opinion on this. I am scared to do it and most likely wont unless a breeder can tell me its fine or ok? Ill also put a little image of her here

Yes I know she is missing a few of her toes, that was from the pet store. She is over a year old

Personally I would not breed her. She obviously did not grow up in ideal conditions if she's missing toes. If these conditions also stunted her growth her genetic potential of size may not have been reached. If this is true she would still lay full sized eggs and would be more prone to egg binding or other issues. It would be kind of like a dog that should have been 80lbs but was undernourished as a pup and only grew up to be 50lbs. It's pups would still get her genetics and be born with the potential to be 80lb dogs and she may have a hard time giving birth to pups that are bigger than she can handle.

Thank you! I thought that may be the problem but I have heard many confusing things about their weight. I think I will try to find a nice big female at a reptile convention I am going to for a breeder then. I really appreciate your reply. The missing toes were from shed that the store didn't bother to help her with.
