Heat Lamps?

I was wondering If a 50w heat lamp on the hot side (along with a UTH) is a good idea? My house temperature is around 22-23C usually, so is having a heat lamp on a good way to raise the overall temperature? It's pretty bright but I'll get to buying a red lamp eventually (no job at the moment).

Is there an issue with keeping it on or is it okay for now?
I just feel like it's not hot enough because I rarely see my leo sleeping during the day, and if i have some indicator like heat and light that it's daytime, hopefully she'll start to fall asleep during the day more.

You may find that a 50 W lamp makes it too hot, especially if it's a small cage. It sounds like your home is warm enough without raising the air temperature in the tank, unless it gets below 22 C at night. You probably don't need a red lamp.

If you're looking to create a day/night light cycle, fluorescent light fixtures can provide light without making the enclosure too warm.
