Heat mat placement

I just upgraded my UTH to a zoomed medium 8x12 but i couldnt put it vertically since its a tiny bit bigger. The picture below shows how i installed it. Anyone have theirs mounted like this? If so, has it caused you any problems? Should I not install it like this?

That's fine, should allow enough to have a cool side and a warm side. Just be sure to double check the temps.

Thanx! I might have to play around with it... she doesnt seem as active anymore.

That should be fine, personally I would have flipped it around so the cord would not have to run under the cage. I doubt the heat pads making her less active probably its because of the cooler temps in the winter.
