heat mat: what way up?

This may sound like a very silly question, however i would like to know what way up the heat mat should go? To produce the best heat?
This is on the floor under lino as a substrate.
what way do you guys have it up?

I am assuming you dont have a zoo med or something like that where it has a sticky side? if that is the case, then it doesnt really matter. if you do have a zoo med and it isnt sticky on one side, then you havent peeled the sticker backing off. once that is done, you can stick it to the tank.

the connector (the black thing on the mat, should be raised one side, the flat side (the connector is pretty much flush with the mat) should be on the surface underneath your viv, the bit with the slightly raised hump on the connector should be facing upwards to the tank.
