Heat pad on plastic tote?

So I have about a 20 gal plastic tote I found and want to make it a new home for my little guy since the one he is in he can barley walk anywhere. Would the heat pad be a bad idea on plastic? Or would it be fine?

I have heat pads on my plastic tubs. I would use a thermostat with it though so it doesn't get too hot.

Does it matter on size of pad? I have the 10-20 gal pad.

Ok. Maybe tape some paper towel to bottom then put pad on that?

Your heating pad shouldn't be reaching much higher than 90 degrees, so no.

if you are having trouble with temps to hot you wouldnt use a paper towel you should use a rheostat or lamp dimmer.

and no even at 120 degrees it wouldnt melt plastic

Ok thanks guys. I'll be moving shadow in there today probably. He needs a bigger area. The one he is in now he can only take like 5 steps. He's gonna love this. and should I worry about him getting used to a new home if I set it up the same inside?
