My male is in a 18x18x24 exo terra(only tank i had) with a 1-5 gallon heat pad doesn't get above 75. Would a 10-20 gal heat pad be too hot? Would it be the rite tempature?

I would suggest going with the larger (10-20gal) size I have 10gal tanks for mine and this is what I use. Temps are easily maintained at 89-92. You do need a temp control on them or they will overheat.

What are you using to measure temps?

And yes, you need a little bigger heat pad to cover more floor area.

I do not buy zoomed pads for that reason. I don't need a pad that gets insanely hot. I prefer the ultratherm heat pads from reptile basics.

I personally like the headroom. It heats up my tile quickly, and then stays off til needed again. As long as the thermostat is doing it's job, there's no worries. Not saying the thermostat can't go wonky on me though.

I don't think the bigger heat pad will necessarily get hotter than the little one (but it might!) but it will heat more of the surface area of the tank, which is a good thing. The heat pad should cover about 25-35% of the floor of the tank and you should measure the temperature directly on the floor. If your air temperature is getting to 90 degrees the pad is likely way too hot. You'll probably need a dimmer switch with any UTH. Also, make sure whatever you have on the bottom of your tank isn't too thick or that it's not an insulator like styrofoam or rubber.

I upgraded a 5-10 gal zoo med pad to a 20-30 zoomed pad he loves it and lays flat on his belly he seems happier and the tank hits 75 air temp

It's funny when my younger gecko wanders over from the cool side of the tank and sprawls out on the heated side, because she's been getting wide around the belly, and when she flattens out it looks hilarious.

So I'm not the only one with a chubby belly female? 8'D
