I want to build myself a wooden viv, divided into two levels with two sections each, for the capability to hold at least four geckos in separate "homes", without the danger of fighting or unwanted breeding. I can envision most of the construction, but I can't for the life of me figure out how I can heat them. If I was using a loose substrate like sand, it would be easy to stick a heat mat under the substrate... but I'll be using slate tiles, and the only real option I could think of was Flexwatt. Do any of you have wooden vivs? How are yours heated? Pics would be much appreciated.
