Hi, I just purchased a leopard gecko from a pet expo today and shes on the skinny side. I just bought some wax worms to fatten her up and currently I'm trying to figure out the best possible lighting/heating for her. I bought an under the tank heating pad as well as a basking lamp, should I use both? I have her in a 20 gallon tank so theres enough room to do what I can.

I was also wondering if anyone has any guesses on what morph she is?

Shes pretty! They don't need lighting, only a UTH that takes up 1/4 to 1/3 of the tank. This enables them to thermoregulate by moving from warmer to cooler areas in the tank. The floor temp should not be higher than 94 F or your gecko will cook.
Waxworrms are the equivalent of twinkles for humans. Feed her more nutritious food that won't lead to fatty liver and other health issues. Make sure to research supplements on this forum.

Thank you so much! I posted a thread in the feeding forum about the best possible way to fatten her up!

if she is large enough (hard to tell from pic) you could give her a small pinkie and if she eats it, it will definitely help to get her voluptuous...lol

I would not use a basking lamp! If you are going to use both UTH and over head I would suggest using a CHE of the overhead heat it gives off no light and heats well. Overhead is fairly easy to control with out a thermostat the UTH's of course should definitely have one! Fattening her up on the other hand I would try to stick with the basic foods just make sure she is getting enough. Most will eat till they are full so I would go that route first. Wax worms can lead to her not wanting to eat anything else and can cause more problems than good. And Pinkies can lead to a blood lust if given too often so I would use those in more of an emergency type of fashion or as very rare treats.
